Dear Joy,
If possible come to Bangladesh for three days in June (summer holidays) and visit your parents. Your personal visit will make immense impact on the politics of BD and it might help millions in the long run. Sometimes "would be leaders" have to do simple things, like visit their parents, for example, at their hard times. Do not come with your family as it might be too risky for them.
Be surrounded by a handpicked loyal educated cousins and please wear a bullet proof jacket and stay inside the car while travelling from one place to another. Do not become Benazir.
My father knew your grandfather and mother. He has passed away couple of years ago.Please also make sure not to admit your father at LabAID. One of the partners of LabAID is Tarek and many doctors there are outright killers.

As you have mentioned, vulgar language is subject to be edited by you. Don't you think Mr Morshed's referring to Chief Adviser of current caretaker govt. by FAKU is vulgar enough to be edited? Although I'm a protagonist of justice, regardless of who the accused is, be it your mother or someone else, I'm utterly frustrated to observe the biased outlook of you, the grandchild of our Father of Nation. Let your wisdom dominate, rather than emotions for your mother. Edit Mr. Morshed's post as he sounds like a nuisance.

Truth will prevail. If your mother is innocent, she will be acquitted, sooner or later. If she is found guilty by the law, you should be politic enough to accept that harsh truth, rather than blindly blaming CA or someone else. Legal process has been suffering procrastination since independence, so is in your mother's case.

This government is not authorised to deal with negotiations involving our natural resources. It seems that it has been put in power by MNCs to plunder our natural resources. Instead of holding elections in 90 days it has gone way beyond it's stipulated valid task of handing over power to an elected people's government.

It is also violating human rights and the army is indulging in rampant extrajudicial killings and torture of innocent people. There are grave concerns about it's handling of political detainees held under fascist emergency powers. Both Hasina and Khaleda are being treated inhumanely which already has deteriorated their physical and mental health.

This unelected unconstitutional government is heading in the wrong direction by derailing democracy. I hope the participants in the blog comes with some constructive proposals instead of BNP and CG bashing. This does not help. We need to get togather, if need be have understanding with BNP and move forward to get rid of the CG. No more bad blood. You have the responsibility to get people to focus on removing CG in a manner which will not further adversly affect Bangladesh. The economy is in bad state, further commotion/unrest will worsen it. You certainly don't want people to suffer, Honorable Madam Sk.Hasina would not. She loves us, I for one belive it. I had the rear oppurtunity of having Shondesh with the greatest persoanlity I have ever met, "Bongobondhu", I received his affection. I feel I am indebted to his soul. His soul still hovers over Bangaldesh, he doe not wants suffering of his people.

I hope you will walk the foot steps of Bongobondhu and love us and organize us. We should not talk about division, its time to be ONE.

I belive SC will uphold the verdict of HC, with some adjustments. Madam Sk.Hasina will join us again in most honorable and deserving fashion.

About donation of Summit, I did some research in Cantt Board and got the following infos:
1. No cash donations were made. Siraj Khaleda Trust (SKT) constructed the building with their own contrators and have so far spent about Tk.4 crore. The foundation laying ceremony was graced by Honorable Madam Sk.Hasina. The hospital is 200 bed facility.
2. SKT hand two condition for donation,(a). The hospital will named after the parents of settlers of SKT i,e Siraj-Khaleda Memorial Cantonment General Hospital, and (b). 25% of the people should be treated free of charges. This 25% are the unfortunate poorer people of the soceity.
3.The hospital will be run by Cantt board. Army only has role as advisors.

The above are my findings from Cantt board.

I totally agree with priyaranjan. It would be foolish of anyone to believe that Supreme Court will rule in favor of Sheikh Hasina regardless of what the law is.

And even if Supreme Court rules in favor of Sheikh Hasina, they have many more cases lined up that will keep her in jail for as long as the government wants to.

The cases against Shikh Hasina are NOT legal case and I do not see how AL or Sheikh Hasina's lawyers can achieve the goal of freeing SH only by legal means.

SH either has to compromise with the government or there has to be enormous pressure from inside the country and that can happen only by mass movements which AL is not willing to do at this time.

So far US and UK has been the key supporter (or actual power behind) this government and it is clear they could care less about democracy in Bangladesh or what happens to Sheikh Hasina.

I hope AL leadership (if there are any left) comes to this realization before it is too late.....

Faku cannot stay in power anymore and i completely agree with you. NO cases have been levied on Mannan Bhuiyan,Hafiz uddin and others who stole multi millions during 2001--2006. No cases have been filed against Khaleda Zia. In fact the ACC said that they couldnt even find a trace of misdeeds. This comes after KABIR TALUKDAR described vividly how Khaleda Zia syphoned the full 2B dollars to the Swiss bank which were procured for the POWERPLANT PROJECTS. No cases have been levied against Tarek too. Arrests of BNP men is nothing but a drama. Khondokar Delawar's son is wanted in 12 murder cases and he is safe and sound. Not to mention that Jamaat is out of everyone's reach

I must say that AL has everything to gain if proper steps are taken. IF AL draws back from the election then it wont be held. AL should press for APA's release before going to the election. If she is barred from entering polls then AL SHOULDNT go to the elections.

However if APA is released and even if she is barred from entering POLLS her speeches alone could stir up public support and emotions for AL. Not to be carried away with the fact that AL is even more popular than before.

You should ASAP talk to Pranab Kaka regarding this. FAKU ,ISI and ARMY are not powerful enough to withstand international pressure.

FUA/MUA want to convict the former-PM and disqualify her from participating in any election. Awami League never sees any impneding peril until it hits and devastates the party.
