The ongoing state of emergency maintained by this military regime has hampered our relief efforts severely. During every natural calimity the Awami League mounts its own relief operations with thousands of volunteers. This time around, it is simply not possible as many of our leaders and activists are now political prisoners of this regime. Along with this, the threat of donations being termed "bribery" or "extortion" by this regime and the indefinite detention without trial that would automatically follow has scared most of our party people. It is the poor that are ultimately suffering.
Still, I would like all our supporters to help in any way they can. I thank you in advance.

Sushanta da is right , i also think you should visit to the victimised people if the CTG DOESENT ARREST YOU.
Becase once you will come to bangladesh they will try to creat trouble for you. i know you dont care but there is no reson to get arrest without any cause.
This government has earned a lot of asset form the convicted corrupt people. They should use those to restore cyclone victims. Again and again they have failed in many case because, there were no truth behind those case. Emergency should left as soon as possible. And our leader must let free to help people in their restoration process. At least this regime must not do politics with Sidr victims and their rehabilitation effort.

i do agree with you that emergency statge should withdraw as soon as possible but why this Gov will do it ? They didnt come to establsih democracy in bangladesh. untill they dont have any pressure.
I think they are having a loy pressure to leave as soon as possible & thats why One of the advisors is shouting that they have no plan to due the elecion. You know its juss rediculas,because at the very beginning CTG had no plan to go for election.
But Now i am thinking about US soldiers, came to help the sidr affected people. When they will leave bangladesh ??

I guess we'll get more rotten wheat that they can't sell anywhere else.
We all know about "Food for Work" program from USAID don't we?
High court has given a rule and that stays in appealed division. Has our judiciary got freedom? We heard corruption in lower judiciary, but what about the higher judiciary? Has the chief justice forgotten his promise to the nation? We got injustice everywhere, but we can’t say. What I am saying? … Is this why, we have earned freedom? Jamaat can do their annual conference, but sector commanders forum have to face a lot of complexity to arrange a meeting with their followers. This is our Bangladesh. And “Nothing will come out of nothing.”

To Sonali_Danar_Chile: I am not a representative of this government, neither support this government. Time will say which is legal and which one illegal. We are in a state of emergency. But there is no point presence here to keep the state of emergency. I would like to match this situation with 1975 and onwards situation up to 1983. One after another freedom fighters killed that time with the conspiracy of Zia and H.M.Ershad. Trial was on jail with out any investigation. Same things happen this time with Honorable Sheikh Hasina and other leaders. May I know why this jamaati gang out of corruption allegation? No one will answer this question. Because, some part of this regime support them. Who will give pressure to this government? People! Why they heard to people of Bangladesh. Are they the representative of the people? But one thing clear to me that, US have double standard about Pakistan and Bangladesh policy. This US govt. opposes Bangladesh 1971. So, they don’t want a stable Bangladesh. Same corruption accusation to Benjir, Hasina, Khaleda. But when Benjir was house arrest there were call came from white house and she was free within one day, but see the case of Hasina and khaleda. So a big question about US policy.

Do you know the Number of Hon’s Graduate in Bangladesh is less than 1% of total population. The problems you are discussing i do agree, but what i want to know is What is the solution of this problem ? You know lot of people knows about the problems but what is the answer ??

The intention is to continue police activities of USA. If India develops economically then in this subcontinent US will not be able to continue Policy activities, which will bring a financial loss for USA. The total population of India, China, and Bangladesh is the one third of the whole World, can you imagine the wealth?
USA is responsible for India - paki problems & the problems in Pakistan. USA will try their best to start such like a problem in Bangladesh, because problem in Bangladesh means problem in India. India surrounded Bangladesh geographically. The question is will USA be able to do that? Logically i think NO, facts in Pakistan & Bangladesh are not same. we are more cultured nation & more conscious about democracy, human rights & Justice. When AL was in Power it was quite easy to go for a special trial to the assassinators of Bongobondhu , did they do that ? There Is a court behind Supreme court & high court, No crime remains Unpunished, Look at the history, look at the assassinators of Nabwab Siraz-ud-doula & also to the assassinators of Bongobondhu, how are they ?

Yes only the public can create pressure the most. CTG will not hear to people willingly but they will be bound to hear to the people. Don’t you think 1/11 is the result of public reaction, what you think wdnt BNP go for that election if the people wont burst ? what about DU incidents ? Yes this Gov will have to pay heed to people whether they want or not. They will have to go for a fair election with in 2008.CTG cant survive in Power with the help of USA. That’s next to impossible. Bengali nation knows all the ways to break the backbone of autocratic Govt.
And also US cant do the same in Pakistan but they will try. The question how long they will try ?? As long as US can keep the situation in their control. If the problems in Bangladesh about election persist for more time , it will affect the prosperity of India . Affecting prosperity in India Bangladesh will disturb the economical prosperity of china. yes there is a rival between china – India but that has a boundary without having financial loss for both. Once these problems persist for long time it will turn to a international issue. US is in trouble in Iraq. And also threaten by Iran & Korea. US cant go to the same way like paki in question of Bangladesh.
though US wants this Gov . Yes Us wants as long as US don’t get any disturb to support them. But Once public Burst out Nobody cant survive against public. If people don’t get food & freedom there is no reason not to burst out against Gov. The DU incidents tells us that people are on the street yet . I request to think you How to get start, how to create a spark in people so that they can destroy this regime ??

we have to point out the backbone of all issue and it is Emergency. if Emergency is more 2 month here then evrything will be meaning less. i dont want to count the issues either talk about while no hope there. nothing will work untill Emergency here. nothing at all. i argue u to make campain and with single issue againest Emergency. if any one who is ready to lead this fredom fight i have help full idea and effective workplane.

I think its a great opportunity for us that our so called political leaders are in jail in this after-SIDR period. Otherwise, the reliefs will not be distributed to the effected people rather themself. We have enough proofs of that near past.
