My Mother's Arrest

My mother was arrested in a dawn raid (5:00am Bangladesh time) from her house on Monday 16th July. Approximately 1,000 members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), the army and the police surrounded her house in Dhaka and searched the premises without a warrant. They then took my mother to court where she was denied bail and ordered detained under authority of the indefinite state of emergency being maintained in the country.

After she was taken away, the armed forces confined all members of the household in a single room and proceeded to search the house without a warrant. They have since seized her personal belongings including her laptop, her mobile phone, her car and CDs.

The cases that were filed against her months ago have not yet gone to trial. Her arrest comes just one week after she exposed attempts by the military’s intelligence wing, Directorate General Forces Intelligence (DGFI) to break up the two major political parties and create a new party of handpicked leaders with dubious track records.

It has been no secret that the goal of this regime is to remove my mother from politics. To that end they first tried to intimidate her with trumped up charges when she was outside the country, but she would not be intimidated and declared she would return to face them. Next the tried to exile her, but were forced to back down and let her return. Then they placed her under virtual house arrest, even though they continued to claim there were no restrictions on her. Her arrest comes as no surprise.

It is also no secret that this regime has been trying to form a handpicked political party. They are attempting to do this with some very familiar faces within the two major parties. These are the same people against whom we have repeatedly heard allegations of corruption. Yet, while vowing to clean up corruption, this regime has actively participated with these corrupt and opportunistic politicians in trying to create divisions within the two parties.

The grassroots of the Awami League are completely united behind Sheikh Hasina. Due to this the regime’s attempt at creating a division within the Awami League was failing. This is the real reason my mother has been arrested. This was the only way they could silence her.

Police had to resort to teargas and rubber bullets outside of the court when my mother was ordered detained because of the large crowd that had gathered there to protest her arrest. On the route to the sub-jail the convoy was confronted at several points by crowds of supporters. Demonstrations and rioting have been breaking out throughout Bangladesh for the last two days, despite the state of emergency. For a short while the Dhaka-Chittagong highway was shut down because of rioting. A three day strike is in effect at all educational institutions throughout the country.

Demonstrations are ongoing in front of Bangladeshi embassies and consulates throughout the world. This includes Washington, DC, New York and Los Angeles in the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, Japan and the Saudi Arabia just to name a few.

We will not be silenced. We will not let the generals and a few sycophants take over power through the backdoor by destroying democracy under the guise of reforms, as they have done in the past.

I urge all Bengali’s around the world to stand with us at this critical hour. I urge our troops in our armed forces to look at what is happening. This is going to set our nation back 30 years. Our nation’s future is at stake.

Jamaat's secretary general just mentioned on NTV that Jamaat will be "dhora chowar baire" in this anti corruption drive.

That should tell people exactly what is going on.

Today, ACC served notices to Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia to submit their wealth statement within next 7 days.
It may be a routine work. But we are surprised why ACC didn’t issue any notice to Mannan Bhuiyan? Mannan Bhuiyan lived in a mess at Malibag in early eighties. From 1991 to 2007 he did nothing other than politics. Now he lives in a luxury apartment at Gulshan. He also bought a luxury apartment at BEVERLY PARK, Plot # 4B, Road # 55, Gulshan 2. He also makes frequent medical trips to Singapore (each one costing at least a million Taka). Is present wealth of Mannan Bhuiyan not disproportionate with his income in last 17 years?
As per TIB report, LGRD was the most corrupt ministry in last five years, where Mannan Bhuiyan was in charge. Even his APS Shahin acquired more than Tk 10 crore wealth in last 5 years.
What about (one day General) Z A Khan? Khaleda Zia made him Red Crescent chairman. For corruption allegation he was removed from that post and BNP MP Harun or Rashid replaced him. Now, everyday he talked against corruption in TV channel.

It is really so quiet here...!
Yes … as Whole Bangladesh!!!

Maj. Akhtaruzzaman (former BNP MP) asked a basic question tonite on a TV show- actually IF GOVT wants some one to be convicted – is there any way out? Law ensures punishment of criminals- does law ensure free from charges who are not criminals? Is there any fare thing in this country except calling ALLAH ALLAH? !!!

Shall I ever get genuine comments regarding the difference between ILLEGAL- UNJUST – ERROR? - From you?

No one specially me have no doubt that I shall never stand up for a criminal- but if I ask my heart- If I ask my head- I am really feeling SOMETHING, SOMEWHERE, HAPPENING UNFAIR- may be today its happening to someone else- but tomorrow it may happen to me – to you – to our loved ones…... My heart is saying Sk. hasina did not do anything wrong...
Take care, everyone. Be safe. cheers. sam

This will be the beginning of the end of this CTG.
I am happy that CTG has arrested Sheikh Hasina. In fact I thank Allah Almighty for this incident. Sheikh Hasina will emerge as the most powerful nationalist leader of Bangladesh inshallah.

After so much propaganda this military regime didn’t able to proof anything and the latest arrest has showed how popular ( and ultimately the most popular and most respected leader) Sheik Hasina is. You know there is always sunshine behind the dark cloud. We shall overcome oneday . One more thing I want to mention here is She is the daughter of father of the Nation so it tells enough why this military regime ( or the Bangladeshi version of the ghost of Pakistani General Musarraf ) scared of Hasina .She is the only one person in Bangladesh that the so called caretaker government scared of because she has the got the backbone and she has the real relation to the grass root level of people in Bangladesh. No other loser leader in Bangladesh has it.

Other day I was thinking probably the present military regime has got the franchising of Pakistani General Musarraf ‘s ideas. But sooner or later this honeymoon part will end for sure. As Bangladesh is Bangladesh not Pakistan. Our people are soft like marshmallow and hard like Black diamond when ever needed to be.

We have to stand up all together against this oppression with whatever we have.

It is simply preposterous!!! Based on no solid evidence, Hasina is arrested. Any jealous rival would want to defame Hasina by filing false accusations, the military backed CTG seems to have forgotten that. And instead has proceeded, so zealously, to arrest her. I can't see any good reason for this CTG to stay in power a single more day. It is time that they step down.

Everyone should remember, support for Hasina will not falter, but strengthen more and more, no matter what.

Asalamuallikum may allah help us. Only Allah can save our nation from the hand of collaborators .I think army chief is very mysterious . He supported Bongobondhu as a father of nation but was it a eye wash and also corrupt people like Muinul Hossain who help his brother to flee from bangladesh and supporter of Jamat . He is the main responsible to arrest our leader Sheikh Hasina and it is also done by Jamat. Many supporter of Jamat and BNP in police and army. Dr kamal and Dr. B. Choudhury think he will be gainer but he will be understand what is jamat. They can not stop January election without Sheikh Hasina and Awami leage. Awami leage sacrificed in 1971, 1990, 1996 AND 2006 for democracy in bangladesh, they give their life all the time but gainer always other people. Now it is time to unity of pro liberation people. and that movement will be led by Sheikh Hasina. Remember Anti liberation people always try to destroy the unity of pro liberation group. Jamat is a factor in politics. They brain washed their supporter by the name of islam. My opinion about Jamat and request for muslim and jamat people becouse they also look this site .if we think we are a good muslim, we should protest against the work of jamate islami because they use the name of islam but are not working like muslim. They support mass killing in bangladesh during 1971 not protest against those killer and rapist. And now they support corrupted people of BNP. They never protest against their corruption during their power. My dear friends if we love islam then look the life of our Prophet Muhammad(Sallallaahu -alayhi-wasallam).Did he any time support any corrupt people or killer of innocent people. My friends try to lover of islam not jaamat or Nizami or Gulam Azam. Always remember a good muslim never support to save corrupt people and killer. Always remember a good muslim never discuss bad about those people who have already passed away. May allah give us ability to understand islam.

We all are outraged and condemn this act of the CTG. At the same time we must be careful not to fall in the JAMAT's trick. Moinul Hossain is JAMAT's agent which we all must acknowledge and make everyone aware of this bustard. At the same time, I ask Joy to be careful on making emotional statement. I know it is only natural to react emotionally when they do this unjustice to your mother. If it was my mother, I would have a tendancy to be emotional as well. However, you must be smart and tactful bafore making any statements in the media. The last thing you want is alianate AL from general population of Bangladesh. People in general are outraged now and overwhelming majority of the population tinks this arrest is wrong.... Let people be the judge. As Zillur Rahman said, AL must have patience and need to stay calm. This is not the end of the world. Sheikh Hasina will come out victorious from this conspiracy at the end.

I have a huge respect for Bangabondhu, I read so many books on him and tried to learn enlighten my poor political knowledge from this great man. Unfortunately Hasina was often victim of misguided politician and intellectual. I always felt that she is not getting the right strategic help at the right time. She was as always surrounded by “Yes Apa” sort of back stabber through out her political career. She was misguided very badly to asses current challenging politics since 11th Jan 2007. Actually Awami League had a golden opportunity to get a massive landslide victory in coming 2008 election. I couldn’t find any reason to asking for earlier election. All the corrupted BNP politicians are facing long term jail one by one including corruption king Mr. Tareq Zia. So why an earth, some good for nothing intellectuals misguided her to go against this current care taker government.

I found it a suicidal strategy, until March 2007 everything was Awami League’s favour after BNP leaders shameful arrest one after another. Suddenly she was given wrong advice to keep pressure on current care taker government for an early poll. It was the day Hasina actually made political blunder. Everybody knows BNP has no moral strength to ask for vote in 2008 after shameful thousand koti takas corruption. All she needed just keep silence for a while and re-asses the long term political sustainability rather than throwing knives against current caretaker government and at last towards the military. She got carried away day by day and credit to all of those good for nothing foul intellectuals who trapped her with their over emotional politics. I wonder when they will grow up ever.

I guess things are moving rather rapidly in Bangladesh right now with the expressed intent on the 'Final Status' of minus 2 or whatever. Arresting Sheikh Hasina is quite silly and childish to say the least. What we have learnt about the last 5 years of Kha -Leda (Shit) Zia and her family makes me sick to my stomach that instead of arresting the real culprit who brought Bangladesh to the brink did not get arrested and tried in the first place, but the person who spearheaded the movement to make the nation aware of what happened in the last 5 years is being arrested. Gen Moeen U did not bother arresting his chummy buddy Syed Iskander Mirza but rather let him destroy evidence by letting him burn his office tower. Gen Moeen was seen in TV that we have witnessed in North America having talks with Jamat Chief a few months ago. Those of us who have seen him in NTV and few other TV channels should know this very well that Gen Moeen was sitting with the Jamat chief in his own Army Headquarters Office. Readers should try to go and verify this.

People do not mind if Sheikh Hasina is arrested based on a real criminal case. No one wants to see had she committed any crime, she is treated for the crime any differently than others in similar cases based on the rule of law. I see no problem if she is convicted based on real crime that is really a substantive case with real proof that are beyond reasonable doubt. But what have we here now? Not only that now the government is saying that bail prayer can not be submitted in the court as she was charged under the Emergency Rule.. It is a joke and shear jungle rule.

The 1/11 did not come due to Sheikh Hasina. It is all about the BNP/Jamat terrorists axis of evil rule for which Gen Moeen was a big part. These are the people who are responsible for what happened to Bangladesh. General Moeen U was the buddy of the corrupt and dismissed Major Iskander, who was instrumental in superseding four generals to put him at the top helm of the Army. So Gen Moeen himself is in a position due to corruption and he has no ethical or moral standing with the people of Bangladesh. Clearly, he did not arrest his buddy chore Syed Iskander and the rest of the gangs. In any case, No one is saying there was no corruption in Bangladesh under Sheikh Hasina’s rule, but compare to what? This is no way lowering the legal bar for Sheikh Hasina. I just feel the whole episode is misguided and simply destructive for the future of Bangladesh. By the way folks, regardless of who says what, it is Gen Moeen who is the de facto ruler of Bangladesh now.

The Saifur and the Abdul Mannan Bhua chores are safe and sound. The Chore Foreign Minister Morshed Khan and his family is fine, all the Jamati war criminals are safe and sound and even one of them came to BBC world News in London the other day and spoke up about the arrest of Sheikh Hasina. I could not believe that a War Criminal from Jamat is free and can speak in front of BBC World News in London and the daughter of the Bangabondhu was arrested by Gen Moeen U?

Frankly useless and funny cases of 'political subscription' becoming extortion is so outrageous that even monkeys would have heart attack due to excessive laughter. There would not be any single representative in any Western nation being able to get elected had they not received contributions, subscriptions, and direct political donations from the citizens, businessmen, corporations at all level. Politicians are not manufacturing companies. They speak on behalf of the people and thus it is the people who provide monies so that they can get elected. Regardless, the whole episode smack of a Jamat ploy. Indeed, I was informed by well placed sources that the Bangladesh Army’s lower tier is full of Jamat officers who have now managed to spread around in different branches and divisions of the Army. Every year Jamat secretly arranged for its members get recruited into the military. I guess my question would be what did AL and the pro liberation forces do all these years? Sleep? How did we let this enemy grow within us?

Why have we not see the Jamat chief arrested for the same murder charges the Hasina was charged with? What kind of investigation is this? It is unbelievable and treasonous
People would want to see a real democratic institution flourish in Bangladesh with normal, sincere people doing politics without having to get shot at or killed by rivals in a meeting that we have seen for decades in Bangladesh.

All I hope is that the real criminals are put behind bars rather than invented criminals. If Sheikh Hasina has committed any crime, then surely she should be punished, but the manner of how things have taken place looks very bad as if the military is directly involved in dirty politics. We can not comprehend to see military would be the main political force and would dictate people what to do.

Dear Joy

To let you know that an instant protest meeting was organized by the Bangabandhu Parishad New Zealand Branch held at Auckland on 16th July 2007 to protest against the farcical arrest of Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu & the President of Awami League and former Prime Minister of Bangladesh by the present atrocious, untrustworthy and biased Army backed (overt) & Jamat minded (covert) government. They accused that government of lodging 'false' cases against Sheikh Hasina and demanded immediate and honourable release of Sheikh Hasina.

The meeting was well conducted by Dr. Engr. Nazrul Islam, General Secretary, Bangabandhu Parishad New Zealand Branch and requested all to join the protest against this cowered action of present interim government and presided over by Engr. Shafiqur Rahman Bhuiyan (Anu), President, Bangabandhu Parishad New Zealand Branch who stressed the need for Awami League leaders and activists across the world to be united and thanked all for their sincerity and affection for the daughter of Bangabandhu and also for attending this meeting with a very short notice.

The speakers uttered with great discontent & dissent that arrest of Sheikh Hasina is a well planned conspiracy against prosperous & democratic Bangladesh. The present interim Government is a result of long struggle of the people of Bangladesh under the leadership of Sheik Hasina and people supported this Government for the simple reason that the free and fair election will conducted in a shortest possible time. But by mindless and arbitrary use of power and arresting peoples leader Sheikh Hasina will risk the democratic progression of the Bangladesh. The speakers strongly condemned Sheikh Hasina's arrest which is totally misconceived and smacks of arrogant use of power without due process of law. Sheikh Hasina always stands & speaks for the common, oppressed, helpless people and speaks for their rights and she was a critic of present government for some of their awful actions but arresting leaders at whim and 'punishing' them for making critical comments will not strengthen the democratic progression. The speakers demanded immediate release of Sheik Hasina with honour and dignity and withdraw all false cases against her.

The speakers also expressed their concern with surprise that many MEGA corrupt ministers, MPs and patrons of militancy of the BNP-Jamaat government had not been arrested, whereas the interim government had implicated Sheikh Hasina in false cases and arrested her.

Speakers urged to arrange a massive protest rally and to liaison with New Zealand Govt for their interference and diplomatic action for immediate release of Sheikh Hasina, the President of Awami League and former Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

The speakers concluded by urging the army-backed caretaker government not to jeopardise the democratic process by imposing "command politics" and not to underestimate the wisdom of our masses.

I am posting this on your web page to express our solidarity with your fight to make our leader Sheik Hasina Free.

Best Regards

Dr. Engr. Nazrul Islam

They assassinated our Father of the Nation. Then they tried to assasinate and silence our leader Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of our Father of the Nation And the leader whose 5-year rule made us a self-sufficient country in food production.

Now they are trying to humiliate her, they are tring to silence her. They know that that is the only way to destroy our democracy and ensure the success of their wicked intentions.

This is a blessing in disguise. I can vision the day our leader Hasina will walk out free again, a joyous day on which the nation would celebrate the way they did on the return of OUR Father of the Nation BONGOBONDHU Mujib.

The patriots of the free Bengali nation, Bangladesh eagerly awaits that wonderful day!

We are with you Sheikh Hasina. We are with you all the way. Stay strong OUR LEADER. You have weathered darker storms before and you will fight and endure this too. Stay strong, OUR LEADER. We will pray for you and our beloved nation.

Pakistan Army played a dubious role in the name of cooperating with the fight against terrorism. Many news reports were published before fearing that terrorist networks based in Pakistan are looking for a safe resort, and in that case Bangladesh is their target. Those reports carries facts that a quarter within BD army was a part of negotiation in that process. The party once used to raise slogans like "Bangla Hobe Afghan" ...they are really safe...There were many reports published against Islamic FInancial Institutions in funding terrorism in Bangladesh, then why the Caretaker Government is not nabbing them?

On the other hand, those who are "yes sir" to Military Backed Administration they are branded as "clean politicians".

Those who are being educated in the West at least admit that democracy cannot be handpicked. Democracy never ever be defined by people in Army. What a reality, Army Majors in Pakistan and Bangladesh are delivering lectures on roadmap to democracy. Things in Bangladesh are happening in different form bcoz our Army is short of loosing PeaceKeeping assignments from the United Nations if they directly take over the power. That's why they've a plan to form a puppet government. Jagrata Janata is another form of Freedom Party.

If anybody asks me what is the order of the day in Bangladesh now, I only tell them Sadek Siddiki's story. It is really funny. Handpicked leaders are put in clinics and hospitals. And, they come down to join street procession and to distribute sweet after the arrest of Sk. Hasina. After then, they again return back to hospital. It seems that there are many CEC Aziz like characters in Bangladesh. It is easy to be hospitalized in Bangladesh whereas many poor people cannot get bed in hospitals. Who will look into this "acting"? Even BNP people were upset hearing the news of Hasina arrest. Jamaati, Neo-Freedom Fighters (Jagrata Janata) and Army Generation have not cried. Interestingly, some of them study in the West and work for international organizations, and my fear is there what they are learning and how they are presenting Liberal and Secular Bangladesh. Do they ever believe in the philosophy of Liberalism and Secularism. Or they are the part of worldwide religious extremism.

We even forget the events of last five or six years. Everybody should keep in mind that it is pro-Army group within BNP influenced Begum Zia to arrest and harass those in 2002 who (Hasina, AL leaders, HR activists, journalists) first brought the issue of Political power of Islamic Extremism in Bangladesh. Due to long struggle under Hasina's leadership, it is the last government who had to nab JMB militants at the end as the all-out movement against terrorism under the leadership of Hasina had helped to gain international pressure on Khaleda regime to arrest militants.

As I mentioned earlier, I am fearing with a question in my mind, "Is preparation going to instate a puppet regime that will facilitate the final process of total Islamization in Bangladesh in radical form?" General people of Bangladesh, though with Muslim majority fabric, are liberal human beings. Our root is in Bangalee culture. Will the liberal soil of Bengal be able to resist the fanatic influence?

Khaleda was fooled by his brother and Army, Hasina was also fooled sometime, and next man to be fooled (but still he is keeping distance and seem to be perplexed) is Dr. Kamal Hossain (hope he will not make any mistake).

If Khaleda Zia arrested today for corruptoin charge(e.g. extortion) what will be your stand regarding the issue? innocent or guilty.

If the charge is proven true in the court tomorrow will you think she really took the money as donations(which her enemy now saying as extortion) for the good of the party or she extorted the victim(who convicted her) as in the word "extortion".

Do you know the background of Bar Mionul? I know a little bit, from another blogger, but information are true.

Bar Moinul Hossain (though son of famous Manik Mia & their ITTEFAQ was burnt in 26th March, 1971) was a DALAL of Pakistan in 1971 & both the brothers were with Paki Janta, they got new modern press for Ittefaq & got many govt facilities (but, such financial facilities was not got by another pro- Awami League daily, The People, office was behind the Shakura, at Sahbag, Dhaka, which was also burnt in 26 th March, 1971).

But, in 1972, as a respect to the contribution of late famous Manik Mia, Bangabandhu gave nomination of Awami League (like to Mr. Faizul Haq, though his controversial role during 1971, Sheikh Hasina gave him nomination of Awami League, as a sign of respect to the contribution of late famous Sher-E Bangla).

But Moinul has done a lot of bad things after 1972 also (I have some proof) and became an covert agent of CIA & left Awami League.

After brutal killing of Bangabandhu, Moinul joined the "Democratic League" (the party formed by killer Khondakar Mustaque, created after 15th August 1975), like late Obaidur Rahman, Shah Moazzem, Dr. Osman Ghoni (notorious zero "O" Ghoni, father of Ex BNP minister culprit Dr. Osman Farukh), late Peer Dudu Mian (RAZAKAR), Nurul Islam Manjur, Late Iqbal Ansari Khan and many other betrayers and Paki, RAZAKARs.

You can well remember how we shattered & spoiled the 1st meeting of "Democratic League" at Dhaka of killer Khondakar Mustaque at Baitul Mokarram and killer was luckily escaped. After his death, Bangalee did not allowed (tried, but failed) any JANAZA at Dhaka (though he spent 95% of his life in Dhaka) of killer Khondakar Mustaque.

Then he joined BNP & was leader of BNP's lawyers association.group etc and competed in Bar council election from BNP panel/group. He had very close relationship with another culpprit Ex BNP Minister, BNHuda, now in jail.

His personal & family life is also disastrous. His daughter was married to a Malaysian boy in 2000 and then separated in 2002; I read that news in a Kualalampur newspaper, when I was in Malaysia.

There were armed fight between two brothers on the ITTEFAQ issue and couple of people were killed. Some cases were going on in court! So, I do not know, on what ethical & moral ground, he became an adviser of the present CG?

Anwar Hussain Monju's wife also lodged "suspected or attempt or planning of murder" case against Moinul's son, last year, complaining that he & his armed GUNDA may kill them!

That is why, last year Moinul went to see Sheikh Hasina in SUDHA SADAN and it was heard that he requested for the nomination from Awami League for his son against his own Brother Anwar Hussain Monju's seat. But Sheikh Hasina did not made the mistake that time.

Have you seen how many times he lied and gave controversial statements as an adviser of present caretaker Government?

Maybe this arrest will do some good job for the future. She is getting sympathy and popularity. If she shut her mouth and if she is in jail for 6 month, she will emerge as a real leader. Political leaders should live in jail for certain period. This is a probation period of a political career. It would be better if she was in jail for few years before she become PM. So that she would be more matured in her activities. Till date she is not mature in the poitical career. Bongobondhu stayed in jail for a long time. He knew the peoples need, but Hasina doesnt realize peoples need. She just talk and talk useless. Hope now she will learn something from her current experience.

I pray for her good health.

This is a propaganda what Joy mentioned in this post. Joy, you should understand that these generals saved our country for a long term disaster. Saved your mother, her party and all of us. We should be grateful to these generals for 1/11. Maybe you can realize it after 2 years.

There are good things and bad things done by this CTG. But the ratio of good is higher than bad. Till now only 2 bad thing I have found from this CTG that I can say a major fault:
1. They didnt arrest any remarkable Jamat leader
2. They failed to control the price of commodity

Please note that Moinul Hossain is an old criminal, so dont count what he says. There are other good people in the government. The chair given to Moinul Hossain is an ugly chair and I think Moinul Hossain deserve this chair. Something bad waiting for him after this govt is over.

Sharif Ahmed, Mr. Hannan, Mr. Ripon (IT Specialist), Mr. Sajid Rahman, Engr. Kaiumuzzaman Mollah, Mr. Ali Hassan Pappu (Sports Secretary, BANZI), Mrs. Waheeda Joarder, Mrs. Mahbuba Aziz Khan and others.

Sheikh Hasina always stands & speaks for the common, oppressed, helpless people and speaks for their rights and she was a critic of present government for some of their awful actions but But arresting leaders at whim and 'punishing' them for making critical comments will not strengthen the democratic progression.

I strongly condemn this move by this interim government which has lost its legitimacy. This is actually a fascist junta headed by some vindictive generals and their deshi and bideshi agents. The ACC chairman while speaking to BBC had said that he wants to instill 'fear of Allah in people' which clearly reflects his Jamaat-e-Islami connection. Mashud should realize that besides Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Buddhists and people of many other religious background live in Bangladesh. This exposes his Islamic fascist mindset. This is a threat to Bangladesh's secular identity.

I ask the UN,US, Europe and all democracy loving nations including China, Russia and India not to listen to what Fakruddin's brother-in-law Ifthekar has been telling the international audience on his frequent trips abroad. This guy should be brought to book. No former foreign minister in Bangladesh's history has wasted so much of foreign currency on foreign trips as Ifthekar had done in just 6 months. He is using the Bangladesh FM's privileges to further his self-interests to fetch lucrative international jobs.

Both BNP and AL should understand that the Fakruddin clans' members inside them (Enam Chodhury and Farukh Chowdhury) have betrayed both the ladies as their senior advisors and are now siding with Fakruddin.

We will do everything to ensure that Hasina survives the second attempt on her life by the same conspirators who failed to take her life through a well executed evil design to annihilate the top Awami League brass in 2004.

Dear Brothers
For the last few months we have supported the efforts of the government. But this is the time to rethink. This is the time to protest against the undemocratic activities of the government. The government is following the paths of Zia and Ershad. We should not send money to Bangladesh, because the govt. will use the money for the distribution of sweets (through the hated and killers like Sadeq siddique and Azam khan). They are also using the govt. fund to split the political parties.
This is the time to resist the government which can distribute sweets using hard-earned money.
So dear brothers,"No remittance to Bangladesh unless this undemocratic government goes down".

3 to 4 people died so far when they heard Sheikh Hasina got arrested.
Some people are on hunger strikes.
I can’t take it anymore. Its time to go back to street
I spoke to my friends back home; they said they will stop the communication between Dhaka and Chittagong by digging the highway. I think CTG forgot that AL’s workers don’t care about their life, they are always ready to give-up their life for Sheikh Hasina.
Fight for Sheikh Hasina and democracy

helal you are right,
NAJAYAZ JAMAATI RAJAKARS and their progeny have forgotten that AL leaders and workers are always willing to sacrifice their lives for BD and Hasina APa.

We are united and i am willing to leave Canada for a fierce fight against the jamaati conspirators.

Just like 71,
we will win and this time our victory will be firmly secured

Oh my God! Mainul is a pseudoislamic SHIBIRITE cloaked in Armani suits. No wonder he was a close associate of killer Mushtaque and is an opportunist chameleon. This CTG is after AWL which has now become crystal clear. They are acting as a catalyst for propelling Jamaat as an alternative to thousands of years of secular harmonious politics in Bangladesh.

It's time for a new government for Bangaldesh. A government who will work for the people of Bangladesh and develop our beloved motherland and be free from corruption.
We need someone who is educated to take our country forward.
I dont want NO more BNP and No more AL as they have done nothing for our people or our country for the past 35 years.

All they have done is looted our country and made millions of people suffer. They have done nothing to help the poor people nor did they develope our country.

BNP & AL are living a life of luxury while millions go hungry.

So it's time to say good bye to the old and bring on the new for betterment for our motherland
